About

I, David Blomstrom, was born and raised in West Dakota and spent about a decade working in Alaska as a wildlife biologist before becoming a teacher in the Seattle School District, an experience that turned me into Seattle‘s only activist (of any significance).

I also became the foremost authority on U.S. state symbols, launching the first website focusing on state symbols and, more recently, publishing a series of state symbols reference books (including Flag Quest: The Search for Respectable State Flags).
